General Instructions for Authors
1. About the Journal
INSIGHT is a national, peer-reviewed, refereed, and interdisciplinary academic journal committed to promoting high-quality research across the Social Sciences, Humanities, and allied disciplines. The journal provides a vibrant platform for academicians, researchers, professionals, and policy thinkers to present innovative theoretical, empirical, and analytical studies addressing contemporary social issues and intellectual traditions at local, national, and global levels.
2. Nature of Contributions
- Full-length Research Papers
- Review Articles
- Research Notes / Field Studies
- Book Reviews
Only original and unpublished work is accepted. Interdisciplinary and comparative studies are highly encouraged.
3. Language of Publication
The language must be scholarly, clear, and grammatically accurate.
4. Word Limit
- Research Paper: 1500 – 2000 words
- Research Note / Field Report: 2000 – 2500 words
- Book Review: 1000 – 1500 words
(Word limit includes references, tables, and appendices.)
5. Formatting Guidelines
For English:
- Font: Times New Roman
- Font Size: 12 (Text), 14 Bold (Title)
- Line Spacing: 1.5
- Margins: 1 inch
- Alignment: Justified
- Page Numbers: Bottom Centre
- File Format: MS Word (.doc / .docx)
For Hindi / Marathi (Unicode Only):
- Fonts: Mangal / Noto Sans Devanagari
- No legacy fonts (Kruti Dev, Shree-Lipi, etc.)
For Urdu / Persian / Arabic:
- Fonts: Jameel Noori Nastaleeq / Noto Nastaliq Urdu
- Font Size: 14
- Line Spacing: 1.5
- Alignment: Justified
- Text Direction: RTL
