Nagpur city geographical, Political social education and culture importance, many Muslims migrated to Nagpur and were given respectable status in military and administration. Some Muslim families migrated to Nagpur from Mysore, Hyderabad & Uttar Pradesh. Many schools of Arabic were opened to educate the young generation of their families. Many High Schools & colleges were established. And one of the important colleges among them was Morris. Arabic Language & Literature is taught. Many prominent professors of Arabic Guided the knowledge seekers. Hundreds of students learned at Arabic Dept. Many students of Dept. got name & fame as scholars. Many students of Arabic of Dept. have joined various services in the gulf & other countries. Arabic is an international language. It is being spoken all over the world & is the official language of many countries. Link with Arabs & the culture house at Delhi for academic purpose.
Department of Arabic was Establish in the year 1885. First Head of the Department was Dr. Mohammad Taqi. Presently Dr. Shaikh Imran working as a Inchrge Head of the Department.
The Department Produced able students who rose to high Position in different field of Life. Many students joined various services in the gulf and other countries and achieved high positions. The Department has a rich collection of books in the college library which was build up by its able and enlightened teachers.
